Battery Information

The high-voltage traction battery is one of the most advanced components within an electric vehicle.

Ownership Assurance is designed to protect against sudden mechanical or electrical failures affecting covered battery components where applicable. However, the gradual reduction in battery capacity or driving range that naturally occurs over time through age and normal use is considered normal operational wear and is not regarded as a mechanical failure.

Please refer to the Ownership Assurance Terms & Conditions for full details.

General Exclusions

Ownership Assurance is intended to protect against unexpected mechanical and electrical failures. It does not replace routine servicing, software maintenance or normal vehicle care.

Examples of items not typically included are:

  • Routine servicing and scheduled maintenance

  • Tyres and wheel balancing or alignment
  • Wiper blades
