How it works:
Buying

Once you've identified a vehicle of interest on BIDbb, follow these steps to bid confidently and enhance your chances of winning the auction:​


1. Register to Bid

To engage with sellers and place bids, you must first register with a valid credit card and phone number. Successful bidders are required to pay BIDbb a 6% buyer’s fee on top of the winning bid amount, with a minimum of B$1500 and a maximum of B$15000.​


2. Conduct Due Diligence

While BIDbb strives to make online car purchases safe and straightforward, it's essential to perform your own due diligence to ensure the item meets your expectations before placing a bid.​

  • Thoroughly review the listing, including any disclosed flaws, vehicle history reports, inspection reports (if available), recent maintenance records, and photographs.​

  • Communicate with the seller through comments, the Seller Q&A section, or the “Contact” feature to ask any pertinent questions about the vehicle.​

  • Arrange an in-person inspection or coordinate with the seller to schedule a detailed pre-purchase inspection (PPI) at a reputable local shop, at your expense.​


3. Arrange Financing and Logistics

To facilitate a seamless transaction, ensure the following are in place before bidding:​

  • Financing: If you plan to finance your purchase, obtain pre-approval from your lender in advance. Be aware that some lenders may require specific item information and could have restrictions based on it's age and use.

  • Transportation and Storage: Discuss timelines with the seller and, if necessary, obtain shipping quotes before bidding.​


4. Place Your Bid

BIDbb has streamlined the bidding process:​

  • Credit Card Authorization: When you place a bid, a hold is placed on your credit card for the buyer's fee. If you win, your card will be charged, and you'll pay the seller directly for the item. If you don't win, the hold will be released at the auction's end.​

  • Binding Bids: All bids are binding. Only place a bid if you fully intend to purchase the vehicle and have completed the necessary due diligence, as refunds are not available.​

  • Auction Extensions: To maintain fairness, any bids placed within the final minute of the auction will reset the remaining time to one minute, allowing others the opportunity to bid.​


5. Winning the Auction

To secure a vehicle on BIDbb, you must be the highest bidder. For auctions with a “Reserve,” your bid must meet or exceed the seller’s hidden reserve price. In “No Reserve” auctions, the highest bidder wins, regardless of the amount.​

After the auction concludes, you'll have the option to complete your purchase quickly and securely through BIDbb. Both you and the seller will receive each other's contact information to finalize transaction details. Buyers are expected to pay for the vehicle in full within one week of the auction's close.​

​Selling your modern enthusiast item on BIDbb is a straightforward process designed to connect you with passionate buyers.Follow these steps to ensure a successful auction:​


1. Submit Your Item

Begin by providing essential details about your item, such as the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) when listing in Automotive, recent photographs, and a brief description. Decide whether to set a reserve price—the minimum amount you're willing to accept—or opt for a no-reserve auction. While a reserve offers a safety net, no-reserve auctions often attract more attention and competitive bidding. Our team will review your submission promptly and may suggest adjustments to the reserve based on current market trends. All auctions commence as follows, regardless of reserve status;

  • Timepiece auctions commence at B$1000
  • Automotive auctions commence at B$10000
  • Marine auctions commence at B$20000

2. Prepare Your Listing

Once accepted, we'll request additional information, including comprehensive photos and details about service and ownership history. At this stage, ensure your item isn't listed elsewhere and remove any existing advertisements.High-quality photographs can significantly impact your auction's success; consider hiring a professional photographer or consulting our photo guide for tips. Additionally, a brief video showcasing a "walk-around" will enhance buyer interest. Familiarize yourself with the title transfer process in your region, especially if there's an outstanding loan on the item. Prepare for an engaging 7-day auction by being responsive to bidder inquiries.​


3. Finalize Your Auction

After gathering all necessary information, we'll draft your listing for your approval. Once you give the green light, we'll schedule your auction to go live at a mutually agreed-upon time.​


4. Engage During the Auction

Active participation is crucial. Promptly address comments and questions, and be willing to provide additional media if requested. Potential buyers might reach out directly to arrange inspections or seek further details. Your engagement can foster trust and potentially lead to higher bids


5. Conclude the Sale

Upon auction completion, you can utilize BIDbb's secure payment system to finalize the transaction online. Both parties will receive each other's contact information to coordinate specifics. Buyers are expected to complete payment within a specified timeframe. If a reserve wasn't met, we'll facilitate discussions between you and the highest bidder to explore possible agreements

After the Auction:
What Happens Next

As soon as the auction ends, we connect the buyer and seller so they can complete the transaction. Here are our recommended steps to ensure everything goes smoothly – and remember, our team is always here to help if you need support.


1. Make Contact

Reach out to each other promptly once the auction has closed. A friendly, positive introduction sets the tone for a smooth and successful transaction.
We recommend that sellers provide proof of ownership right away – typically a clear photo or scan of the vehicle’s title and registration.


2. Payment & Documentation

  • Buyers are expected to complete full payment within seven days of the auction closing.

  • If there is a loan on the vehicle, the buyer and seller should discuss repayment terms:

    • If the seller can pay off the loan themselves, they should do so as soon as possible and provide confirmation from the lender.

    • If not, the buyer may be able to pay the lender directly for the outstanding balance, and send the remaining amount to the seller.

  • A detailed Bill of Sale should be created and signed by both parties, outlining the terms of the sale. Check your state’s DMV for templates and requirements.

  • Payment Methods:

    • Bank wire transfers

    • Cashier’s cheques

    • USDC (stablecoin)

    • In-person bank meetings to confirm and complete payment

  • Vehicle Handover & Shipping:
    Once full payment is received, the seller should arrange for the vehicle to be collected or shipped.

  • If completing the sale remotely, the seller should send the signed title to the buyer using a tracked courier service only after payment is received in full.
